What Does It Mean To Blacken Shrimp
Blackening or Blackened Season is a Cajun style seasoning made with paprika, cayenne, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper.
It is a slightly spicy seasoning with a ton of flavor!
how long does it take to cook shrimp in an air fryer
That will vary depending on the size of the shrimp and your air fryer.
These shrimp are medium 31-40’s and take about 10 minutes total. Large shrimp can take 12-14 minutes. If your shrimp are small you’ll want to check them after 6 minutes.

- Peeled, Deveined 31-40 Shrimp
- Oil
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Dried Oregano
- Cayenne
- Smoked Paprika
- Himalayan or Sea Salt
- Pepper
How To Cook Cajun Shrimp In Air Fryer
- Mix spices, salt and pepper.
- In large bowl, coat thawed shrimp with oil then sprinkle seasoning over the shrimp. Toss to evenly coat. Transfer to greased air fryer basket.
- Air fry shrimp at 400ºF for 5 minutes. Toss and air fry 4-6 minutes more or until shrimp are cooked though.
- Serve with lemon wedges and fresh chopped parsley.
