Yes, absolutely! In fact air fried sausage is The Best. The outer sausage casing gets that slight crispness while the inside remains super juicy.
Use whatever type of sausage you prefer. I like a flavorful chicken sausage so that is what I typically use. But beef or pork sausage cook up nicely in an air fryer as well.
How Long Do You Cook Sausage In An Air Fryer
The cook time will vary slightly depending on the type of sausage you are cooking and what air fryer you use.
This recipe is using a pre-cooked chicken sausage air fried in a 10 qt Nuwave air fryer. I cook the sausages for about 10 minutes.
The peppers take longer than 10 minutes so we start those in the air fryer first.

- Bell Peppers
- Oil
- Salt/Pepper
- Pre-cooked Sausage
How To Cook Sausage and Peppers In An Air Fryer
- Remove seeds and stems from bell peppers. Cut into thick strips. Toss with oil, salt and pepper then transfer to greased air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 375ºF for 10-12 minutes or until peppers begin to get tender.
- Add sausages and air fry at 375ºF for 10 more minutes or until sausages are cooked through.
- Use any preferred seasoning or sauce. Serve over rice, on a sandwich or as is.
