Cook up some seasoned white fish in your air fryer, whip up a batch of coleslaw and you have all you need for fish tacos.
Use tilapia, cod or even rock fish for these tacos. Get your favorite tortillas. Top with fresh coleslaw and avocado.
Ingredient Options:
- Add thinly sliced jalapeños to heat things up.
- Top with pico de Gallo, ranch dressing or this Creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce.
- Use flour or corn tortillas in your preferred size.
AIR FRYER FISH TACOS
AIR FRYER FISH TACOS are a quick and easy dinner idea. Seasoned white fish cooked in your air fryer then served with slaw in a tortilla.
Ingredients
- 2 white fish filets
- Juice from ½ lemon
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- (½) 16 oz bag of coleslaw
- ⅓ cup mayo
- Juice from ½ lime
- ½ cup red onion, cut into strips
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Fresh cilantro
- Favorite dressing of choice (optional)
Instructions
- Add fish filets to air fryer basket prepared with non-stick cooking spray.
- Add lemon juice onto the filets and top with the seasoning, covering evenly.
- Bake fish at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
- When the filets are finished cooking, cut into longer pieces or strips for the tacos.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cole slaw mix, mayo, and lime juice. Toss until fully mixed.
- Begin to prepare your tacos. Add coleslaw mixture to the bottom of each taco. Top with 3-4 pieces of fish, red onion, and avocado slices, distributed evenly.
- Garnish tacos with fresh cilantro and any dressing of your choice (optional).
Notes
Half way through the cook time, check on your fish to ensure the seasoning is not burning. Add more lemon juice here if desired.
You do not need a dressing for these tacos. They are plenty flavorful and juicy without a dressing. However, you can also serve these tacos with ranch, pico de gallo or a cilantro lime dressing.
Use any white fish for this recipe.
